Be Part of Wittering Surf Life Saving Club 

Joining our club means becoming part of a vibrant, sea-loving community committed to safety, skill, and teamwork. Whether you’re a seasoned swimmer, a young beginner, or simply a supporter of our mission, there’s a membership category for you.

 

Membership Categories
Our membership is tailored to suit different age groups and levels of involvement:

    • Senior Member (Over 16)
      Designed for all  adults with experience or a passion for lifesaving and water safety and for those keen to develop their skills, participate in events, and take on leadership roles.

    • Junior Member (13–15)
      A great opportunity for teens to learn lifesaving techniques and build confidence in the water.

    • Nipper Member (7–12)
      Perfect for children who want to start their lifesaving journey with fun, safe, and structured training sessions. Please note: Nipper membership is limited, and regular attendance is required to maintain membership.

    • Life Member
      Awarded to individuals who have made significant contributions to the club.

    • Social Member
      For supporters who want to be part of the community but don’t wish to participate in water-based activities.

Membership Requirements
By becoming a member, you agree to:

    • Follow the club’s Constitution and bye-laws.

    • Adhere to the regulations of Surf Life Saving GB (SLSGB) and International Life Saving.

    • Uphold the club’s codes of practice and values.
    • You must also be able to swim 100m unaided in a swimming pool, but if the sea is calm we can may test on the open water. 

Membership Fees
Membership fees vary by category and are determined at the General Meeting each year. Fees include SLSGB membership, which provides access to nationally recognised training and resources.

Our 2025 membership fees are – 

 

Nippers and Youth  – £50 a year. 

Senior Membership – £60 a year

 

Nipper Membership Policy
Due to limited spaces, Nipper membership requires regular attendance to ensure children benefit fully from the program. Attendance is monitored on a case-by-case basis, and non-regular attendees may have their membership reviewed or terminated to allow others the opportunity to join.
